#1080: 2016, Meilyr Jones, Refugees

by Bobby_West on June 23, 2016

Our ‘europop’ theme on Songs To Learn And Sing has faltered and lacking inspiration for it myself I’ve decided to post this instead – a beautiful, touching song from my current favourite album, 2013.

In some uncertain indirect way it feels appropriate on this big political day with so much at stake.

PS Bear with the 30 seconds or so of silence at the start, its deliberate.

PPS Vote Remain

Great choice. The rest of the album is wonderful too, all about a young man from rural Wales having a wonderful time in Rome, in footsteps of Byron and countless other young people from across Britain.
