#948: 2014, Allo Darlin’, Romance and Adventure

by George_East on October 29, 2014

Time for something contemporary, I think.

Allo Darlin’ are one of those bands that remind me of all those jingly jangly guitar based melodic indie bands I grew up with – there is something refreshingly old fashioned about them, if you know what I mean.

Female vocalist, wry lyrics about love and loss.   What’s not to like. Ok, the name of the band which is, admittedly, terrible.

This song is from their new album, We Come From The Same Place, which is my album of the moment – its been pretty much on constant play in my room at work since I bought it a couple of weeks back.  Buy it. Seriously. You won’t regret it.

Oh dear.

You are old enough to know better, George. Go and listen to Mirel Wagner.
