#898: 2006, Jarvis Cocker, Running The World

by Jackie_South on May 25, 2014

The mixed messages of Thursday’s elections made this a timely pick here at Songs To Learn And Sing: a reminder about what politics is really about. Jarvis, with a bitter humour, pretty much sums it all up in his expletive-toting refrain.

So, if you were tempted to vote UKIP to show your anger at all politicians, or worry that Ed Miliband is a bit too geeky, or think that Boris Johnson or Nigel Farage are a bit of a laugh, play this to give yourself a much-needed kick up the backside. Jarvis makes it crystal clear who we need to stop running things in a way only he could.
