#888: 1969, Neil Young, Cinnamon Girl

by Ray_North on April 28, 2014

Here’s some good news – Allthatsleft warrior George East and Mrs East have had a happy event!

So to commemorate said happy event, here is a song from the year of George’s birth, by one of his favourite artists (and indeed one of mine as well). It is also the second song that we’ve posted on here from the triumvirate of amazing songs that Neil Young wrote on the same day (Down By The River, has been posted, Ruby In The Dust, is the third).

George, of course, will make a terrible parent, but I’m sure that those who read his words on these pages, and indeed everyone else, wish him, Mrs East and their little Cinnamon Girl, the very happiest and most wonderful of times.

You’re busy this morning Mr North.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs East, marvellous news. That’ll be your gig and cinema going days over then. All worth it though!

And of course, a brilliant song.

Congratulations to Mrs E (who did all the hard work) and to George.

The year before my birth but cheers anyway. And yes she did, very much so Mike!
