In celebration of the “desolate” North East of England

by Charlie_East_West on July 30, 2013

Former Energy Minister, recent government adviser on energy, and George Osborne’s father in law, Lord Howell, has suggested that fracking should be carried out in the North East of England because it has vast “desolate areas.” The peer, who lives in the South of England, said the gas production method could be safely carried out in the North East without any environmental impact.

Let us celebrate what Lord Howell considers to be desolate. Here are a few images of the “desolation” within the North East of England.

Quite. Desolation everywhere.

Lord Howell’s comments sum up what Tories feel about the North. His wish to place a misplaced industry in the North East of England is somewhat ironic considering the damage that the Tories have done to destroy industry in that region over the past 30 years.

Just like many of his Tory chums, Lord Howell is a fracking idiot.

Ah, I didn’t realize that there was such a close nexus between Gideon and this clown Howell! Hmm says it all!

With a name like Ray North, be careful that the Tories don’t frack on you.
