#709: 2010, Surfer Blood, Neighbour Riffs

by Bobby_West on June 19, 2013

It’s the last instrumental of the theme week, make it a good one Bobby. So George instructed me. Well I decided I simply couldn’t take the pressure and thought I’d just try to find a track to fit my mood.

On such a sunny day, I almost posted the lovely London Fields by Darren Hayman, the opening track of his Lido album, celebrating open-air swimming in Britain.

Then I almost solved our ommission of no Beach Boys tracks so far on Songs To Learn and Sing by posting the title track of Pet Sounds (apparently written as a potential James Bond theme tune, so I read).

But then I remembered this, and thought let’s have some modern day sunny surf music instead. Not a classic perhaps, but not a terrible way to see us out of instrumental week.

Ah – from one of the albums in the RT album club subscription you kindly bought me. Lovely. Oh and there has been one Beach Boys song.
